The non-profit organization honored attorney David Dismuke of Burnetti, P.A. for saving a co-worker's life by performing CPR.

LAKELAND, FL, December 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lakeland personal injury lawyer David Dismuke was recently recognized by Citizen CPR, Inc. for performing CPR on a Burnetti, P.A. co-worker that had stopped breathing.

When Nancy Fernandez collapsed in her office during her lunch hour, Mr. Dismuke immediately began performing chest compressions, a skill he learned many years ago. Paramedics brought Mrs. Fernandez to a nearby hospital, where she made a full recovery after spending several days in the medical facility.

Mr. Dismuke was honored for his life-saving efforts at a luncheon hosted by Citizen CPR, Inc., a non-profit organization that strives to reduce the risk of premature death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and sudden death events.

"I think I had as much chest pain as she did," Mr. Dismuke said during the Citizen CPR luncheon. "It scared me to death."
