Mr. Guthrie spoke about the basics of estate planning including wills, living trusts, intestate succession, probate, estate taxes, powers of attorney, healthcare decisions, and getting everything organized. Attorney Guthrie's presentation lasted about an hour and he went into many topics surrounding estate planning and probate.

The topic of healthcare documents was of particular importance as this topic affects people while they are still alive and Attorney Guthrie stressed this fact. Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm also had time for questions that ranged from out of state wills to how to title property and bank accounts. Mr. Guthrie is set to speak again at the library in January 2012.
