H. Rosemarie Boone, Former Varsity Basketball Player, Was Inspired to Venture into Medical Technology After Undergoing an X-ray for an Injured Finger

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY, September 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- H. Rosemarie Boone, who retired as an X-Ray Technician Supervisor from LaGuardia Medical Group and Queens-Long Island Medical Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical technology services.

A licensed radiologic technologist, H. Rosemarie Boone enjoyed a fruitful 22 years in patient care. She concluded her career at LaGuardia Medical Group and Queens-Long Island Medical Group after 16 years of service. In addition to these two centers, she worked for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City for 10 years. A former varsity basketball player for the City College of New York, Ms. Boone was inspired to venture into medical technology services after undergoing an X-ray for an injured finger. She considers helping people to have been the most rewarding aspect of her work in patient care, and attributes her success to her tenacity and compassion for others.

Ms. Boone received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration in 1980 from Empire State College of the State University of New York. She is affiliated with the American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists and the Foster Grant Parent Program. She was honored by Queens-Long Island Medical Group for her hard work and dedication, and considers this to have been the highlight of her career.

Now officially in retirement, Ms. Boone enjoys spending time with her husband D. Conway, a retired first-grade detective for the New York Police Department. They have a granddaughter named Roseanne.
